Turn pages that were scanned or photographed the wrong way up. Rotation is recorded in the page itself, so every reader shows it the right way round.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF you want to rotate.
  2. Pick 90, 180 or 270 degrees, and optionally list which pages to turn.
  3. Press rotate and wait while the file uploads.
  4. Download the rotated PDF.

About the formats

About PDF

PDF fixes a document's layout so it looks the same wherever it is opened, which is why it is the usual format for anything final. It is normally used for contracts, invoices, reports, forms and anything meant to be printed or archived. A PDF is designed to be read rather than edited, so changing the text after the fact is awkward.

What to expect

  • Rotation is 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise.
  • Leave the page selection empty to rotate every page.
  • Password-protected PDFs are not supported.

What happens to your file

Your file is uploaded to FilesMagic's own conversion servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and converted there in a temporary workspace, which is removed once processing completes. We do not keep copies, and we do not log file names or file contents.

Questions

Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Leave the page selection empty to rotate the whole document, or list pages the same way as for extraction.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Rotation is stored as a property of the page rather than by redrawing it, so nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
Yes. The work is done by FilesMagic's own engine, so the file is uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, processed in a temporary workspace, and removed once processing completes.
