Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of FilesMagic and its file conversion services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FilesMagic, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

FilesMagic provides file conversion and processing tools through the filesmagic.com website and the FilesMagic iOS app. These Terms apply to both.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree not to upload, convert, distribute, or process files that:

  • violate any law
  • contain malware or malicious code
  • infringe copyrights or intellectual property
  • contain illegal or harmful content
  • attempt to disrupt or abuse the platform

You are solely responsible for the files you upload and process.

4. File Processing & Storage

Files uploaded to FilesMagic are processed temporarily for conversion purposes.

We aim to automatically delete files after processing, but temporary retention may occur for operational or security reasons.

You should not upload highly sensitive or confidential information.

Password-protected files must be unlocked before they can be processed; FilesMagic does not attempt to bypass file protection. Some conversions have known limitations - for example, a scanned or photographed PDF converted to Word requires text recognition FilesMagic does not currently perform, and will be refused rather than returned as an empty document.

5. No Warranty

FilesMagic is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted service
  • error-free conversions
  • file compatibility
  • permanent availability

Use the platform at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

FilesMagic and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • data loss
  • corrupted files
  • business interruption
  • indirect or consequential damages
  • loss of profits or information

7. Intellectual Property

All FilesMagic branding, software, design, and content are owned by FilesMagic unless otherwise stated.

You retain ownership of files you upload.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the service at any time for abuse, misuse, or violations of these terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Continued use of FilesMagic after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
