Convert JPEG to PNG
JPEG compresses photographs by discarding detail the eye is least likely to notice, which makes photo files small. Converting it to PNG gives you a file suited to logos, icons, screenshots and any image with sharp edges or transparency.

About the formats
About JPEG
JPEG compresses photographs by discarding detail the eye is least likely to notice, which makes photo files small. It is normally used for photographs, camera output and images on the web. It cannot store transparency, and every re-save discards a little more detail.
About PNG
PNG compresses without discarding any detail, and supports a full alpha channel for transparency. It is normally used for logos, icons, screenshots and any image with sharp edges or transparency. Lossless compression means photographs come out considerably larger than the same image as JPEG.
What happens to your file
Your file is uploaded to FilesMagic's own conversion servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and converted there in a temporary workspace, which is removed once processing completes. We do not keep copies, and we do not log file names or file contents.
